Book Blurb:

On the floating city of Internment, you can be anything you dream, unless you approach the edge. Morgan Stockhour knows getting too close can lead to madness, like her older brother Len, a Jumper. She takes solace in her best friend Pen, and in Basil, the boy she’s engaged to marry. When she investigates the first murder in a generation, she meets Judas. The suspect was betrothed to the victim, but Morgan believes he is innocent. Nothing can prepare Morgan for the secrets she will find – or whom she will lose.

Review:

I was given the opportunity to read the first 10 chapters of this story on Pules It and it completely blew me away within the first few chapters. This story is like nothing else I've ever read. It's compelling, enthralling and enchanting. Could you imagine a city floating above our heads and we are completely unaware of it. This book is a little poetic when I truly think about it, it only proves to us that we are never truly content with what we have especially when something wonderful is just out of reach.

This is a whole new taste on what we believe in, God's and what we all think they are capable of. Not only does it take a new spin on that but it also shows us how no matter what love really matters, that even when there are hard times never lose your faith and that yes there are always dangers right around the corner but you must face them.

It also proves to us that even in a floating city above there is a sort of law and unjustness and a crazy dictator just like the ones in our history books. No matter what you can never truly escape the craziness but you can make a small difference and fight to make a change. Nothing is every really out of reach if you are willing to fight for it.

Her characters are so realistic, so tangible is as if they are your friends and you are with them every step of the way. You can easily identify with Pen or Morgan, you can see them in yourself or in someone close to you. I loved their friendship, it wasn't perfect but it was real, I also loved the boys Judas, Basil and Thomas. Judas for his mysteriousness and snide comments/intelligence, Basil for his undivided love and compassion/strength, Thomas for his silliness and his capacity to love even when it isn't always requited, he never gives up :).

I loved Lex's and Morgan's sibling relationship, it's so much like my own it makes me smile. No matter what the older brother loves his little sister even if he doesn't always like to show it. Alice Lex's wife is so strong and someone you'd look up to, she is one of my favourite characters in this book.

Lauren did a fantastic job with this story and can't wait to see what will happen in the next book, I definitely give it 10 out of 5 stars ;) because of it originality and amazingness that sucks you right in.

I pictured the jumpers trying to do this too as I read.

You may not know this incredible lady name Helen Boswell but she is a dear dear friend of mine who also happens to be a pretty bad ass indie author on top of being a wicked biology teacher and a wonderful mother of two. It brought all of us close to her sadness to find out she was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer. A bunch of us have banded together to create a fundraiser of sorts to raise money for her. We have all sorts of donations pouring in everyday from people whom may or may not have known her for long. She is such a sweet person that we want to help her out. So if you could please visit the Facebook page we have made to sponsor this fantastic mission it would be greatly appreciated.

She inspired me when it came to taking a leap of faith and start writing, she also encouraged my fan art which was pretty thrilling :), made me feel like I could contribute somehow when it came to her work and help spread the word.

She is by far one of the greatest people I've ever had the privilege to meet, I may not have met her in person but one day I hope to and thank her for just being a friend and an over all great person. I haven't met one person yet who hasn't been touched in someway after meeting her. She honestly lightens all of us.

What's in a name, Shakespeare? I'll tell you: Everything. Rosaline knows that she and Rob are destined to be together. Rose has been waiting for years for Rob to kiss her and when he finally does, it's perfect. But then Juliet moves back to town. Juliet, who used to be Rose's best friend. Juliet, who now inexplicably hates her. Juliet, who is gorgeous, vindictive, and a little bit crazy...and who has set her sights on Rob. He doesn't even stand a chance. Rose is devastated over losing Rob to Juliet. This is not how the story was supposed to go. And when rumors start swirling about Juliet's instability, her neediness, and her threats of suicide, Rose starts to fear not only for Rob's heart, but also for his life. Because Shakespeare may have gotten the story wrong, but we all still know how it ends..

Review:

I picked up this book with little to no expectations on how it was going to be like, plus it was free :p. I've always been in love with their story of Romeo and Juliet, their tragic love. It's one of Shakespeare's more famous plays. Some people may think their love was foolish and absurd, I think it was more romantic and heartfelt.

This book wasn't exactly what I thought it would be, in fact it was better. I loved how each chapter was a scene, it was almost like reading a play. I loved seeing a different side to an old tale, we all know it but was there ever more to it? This spin off was exactly the thing a Romeo and Juliet fan would dive into.

Rosaline is your average teenage girl who has her whole life planned, from what collage she will attend to, straight down to the man she will end up with. Her friends are average, yet add a sense of flare to the story. I love Charlie and Olivia for different reasons, they may seem ditsy or self-centred on some occasions but in reality they care very deeply for the ones they love.

As for Rob aka Romeo *sigh* it's sad to say I know how the story goes but I still held on to a little bit of hope that maybe the story would change for Rosaline's sake. He's what you would call the perfect guy, popular yet not conceited, everyone loves him. He's your typical boy next door with this charm about him. I swear my heart did a flip when things seemed to be going right for her and Rob *shakes head* but of course I was being naïve it's not called Romeo and Rosaline now is it!

Yes some of the story I found of bit dry but that's all so because I was becoming impatient and wanted to know what was going to happen. Half way through the book it  took a turn and my heart was racing, I wanted to reach through the book and hug Rose and make her feel better. I wanted to punch Rob out and say if you ever truly cared for her you wouldn't have done what you did. As for Juliet I was not a fan of her at all. Snobby and fake, it's not until much later you see her behind her mask for the person she is, her pain, her fear, she lost and lonely and just wants someone to care for her.

In a way I don't completely blame her for stealing Rosie's man, I blame more the man for being careless with his best friends heart. Besides the main characters there was one character that stuck out to me, Len... He's the slacked, smart mouthed  guy, everyone looks at him like he's a joke yet when ever he pops up he makes the scene more intriguing. I quickly because a big fan of him and was hoping there was more to him, that he was going to have a bigger role in this story, and I was right. I won't go into details for what fun would that be If I ruined it for you ;) you'll just have to read and find out for yourself.

Once I reached 90% the book took the leap we all knew was going to happen but still it hit me all over again, not because it's the tragic love story I'm so used to but because it was told from Rosaline's side and her pain she was experiencing was heart breaking. So many things took place in a few chapters, it was a blur of pain, sorrow, guilt, reflection and happiness. I was thrown into a tidal wave of emotion, each new one was a new wave crashing over me.

I give this book five out of five stars, yes it may not have been accurate but it was still a wonderful story, I loved seeing it from another angle. It was a wonderful reading experience, I think Rebecca did an incredible job with this book. Don't judge this book until you have read it, I read many reviews about it some saying they liked it, others saying they thought it was a waste of time. I don't think it was. I rather enjoyed it. I' truly love the end of this book, at least for once it was all tragic. I makes you think twice about the meaning of life, that no matter what life may have a different plan for you, you shouldn't fear it but rather embraces it like a long lost friend.

Not your typical historical tragedy but still exuberant in it's own way.

Act 1 Scene 2
BENVOLIO
At this same ancient feast of Capulet's
Sups the fair Rosaline whom thou so lovest,
With all the admired beauties of Verona:
Go thither; and, with unattainted eye,
Compare her face with some that I shall show,
And I will make thee think thy swan a crow.

ROMEO
When the devout religion of mine eye
Maintains such falsehood, then turn tears to fires;
And these, who often drown'd could never die,
Transparent heretics, be burnt for liars!
One fairer than my love! the all-seeing sun
Ne'er saw her match since first the world begun

Review:

This was my reaction when this book was finally released to the world.

This book is riveting and exhilarating, Helen did a fantastic job at following through with the theme of justice. It was a great blend of what we all thought was right and what is right, the lightness and darkness of the stories has really been thrusted outward this time around.

One of our favourite characters has to face his darkest demons pun intended :p He has to cope with his biggest fear, the thing he knows he can no longer hide from. He fights the darkest part of himself for the longest time, yet he slowly realises to save the people he loves he can no longer do that, he has to because the beast itself. Helen did such a phenomenal job at turning the very thing we hate into the very thing we need to survive. In reality we should have been upset with his change but it had the opposite effect. I wanted to protect and help him because it was so heart wrenching to see him suffer so much.

Micah changes a lot in book two and sometimes it was really hard to read it. But it was nice to see that even when having to give in to temptation and do unthinkable things he never lost his soul and the goodness that's within him, no evil can truly love. He definitely because more intoxicating and desirable, he was very relatable to.

Hope changes more and more, I had hoped that maybe her life would have simplified a bit but I was wrong. Her life takes a darker turn, she's handed something shocking, and learns something new about herself that will blow all of our minds. My heart went out to her many times through out the story :( poor Hope. The one thing I admire most about her especially after this book is the fact that even when she is knocked down she gets back up and keeps fighting. Plus I love the fact that she never seem to lose faith in people even when you think it's pointless. She one of the very rare female characters that I actually like and can admire.

Jonathan oh Jonathan *shakes head and sighs* I have to give props to Helen for making the impossible the possible....She actually made me hate him a bit.
I bow to you Helen :p We get to see the more ruthless and scarier side to Jonathan, it was truly an eye opener for me but in a good way, makes him seem more human then just an immortal. It was hard to see this side of him but it's great to be exposed to every side of this man. He's not what he seems in many many ways. I'm still a Team Jonathan fan even if I wanted to punch him out on many occasions ahahah . He was able to redeem himself near the end *holds tears* so wanted to hug him.

This book left me with a gaping hole in my heart that was only filled when I read the next sentence. It's exhilarating, awe inspiring, gut wrenching and heartbreaking. To say this book never blew my mind would be a lie, it did on several occasions.
I give this book 20 stars out of five just because I can and because I just love it that much. Having read the first book I had no idea what direction she would take her story, I must say I was pleasantly surprised. She did an astounding job at creation a world that's filled with demons and guardians and make it believable and relatable. It's not your typical good verses evil story it's more compelling then that. The plot is bewildering and still has me reeling from it. The new characters she introduced are well written and fit like perfect pieces in a puzzle *coughs coughs* even though I'm sure she knows I despised one of them hahah. I know I will be impatiently waiting for them all for come back in book three and see what it has to offer. I wonder how she will torture us with that one :p

Be prepared to get mad, have your heart race and your eyes to cry a river, this book is one hell of an emotional ride, but it's worth it all. Get ready for one heck of a book hangover (still have mine), oh and be ready for the end to twist in a way you don't see coming and will leave you craving more. The wicked lady did it again with this masterpiece. <3

*Dramatic sigh* I don't even know where to begin with this book, but this picture might help you understand how I felt after reading this book :p.

*Review may or may not contain spoilers read with caution*

I truly loved the first book but holy man it's got nothing on this bad boy. Bailey definitely knows how to play with her readers emotions. I stayed up late to be able to buy this book the moment it went live on Amazon, that's how badly I wanted it. Little did I know that the moment I started reading I would ball my eyes out.

The first few pages reminded me of P.S I Love You when Holly kept calling Gerry's phone just to hear his voices *tears up again* it was honestly breaking my heart *wipes tears*. My heart kept breaking for many chapters and I kept thinking it just wouldn't end.

I kept pushing through the book, I knew something happy was bound to happen eventually and guess what?? it did!! Of course Bailey didn't want to make it that easy for us though before she flip our world upside down all over again. But at least for a little while I was all like.

I kept pushing on thought because there had to be silver lining somewhere right? I felt so bad for Nari, all the pain that poor girl was going through and then to find out she's not what she always thought she was *shakes head* I don't know how she even held herself together. I was so very happy when she found her boys:). But as I previously stated that happiness didn't last long *tears up* poor Mycah was just snatched away from her. The only upside to Mycah being taken was that we got to have more time with Rydan *swoons* I swear I don't think it's possible to have "too much" Rydan, he's just brilliant.

Watching his growth throughout the novel was breathtaking, yes he completely angered me and made cry at the beginning but how could I not forgive him it's Ry :) He's crazily protective, kind, sarcastic umm did I mention sexy as hell ;) I mean he's the total package. There will be this one scene between him and Naminé just hot damn *fans self* I think that was my favorite scene in the book.

As I kept reading the plot thickened, it got completely out of hand, I was shocked over and over again. My nerves were shot, my stomach was in knots, I just wanted to get to the end to see what was going to happen. I swear my eyes got super glued to the pages. I couldn't take my eyes off of it, it was just too gripping and exhilarating.

The biggest pot changer will completely enrage you and you won't be able to believe what you are reading! It will be one of those moments when you're like no it can not be true or please say it isn't so. So many times I wanted to jump in the book and be like I just don't understand.

Your heart will be in utter turmoil until the very end, I know mine was anyways, I felt betrayed by my favourite character in the novel :(. I didn't think I could handle much more of the craziness that was going on, but OMG!!!!! the end, the end was just so bloody brilliant, I was speechless, I knew that not all was as it appeared to be but still I was so blown away. I was crazy happy when things finally settled for everyone especially poor sweet Nari, I wanted to do a happy dance because it was just brilliant.

Bailey truly out did herself with this one, it was spectacular, the emotions that she played out you felt them as if they were your own. The character growth was beautifully written, Nari's growth was the most profound, she really came into herself, she still has along way to go and a lot to deal with now but I have no doubt if anyone could do it it's her, she's completely badass. Ry's true colours radiated in this novel, it was beautiful to see. Naminé grew into herself slowly but it was still lovely to see. As for my dear Mycah *shakes head* he's the one that surprised me the most, you truly saw the lengths he would go for the people he loves, sacrificing he's heart for the greater good is so very like him, he still upset me for a good portion of the book but you will discover why on your own.

Overall this book was breathtaking, exceptional, vibrant and gut wrenching. As much as I loved the first one, I must say I loved this one a little bit more :) it was just too grippingly torturous. Her description of the other world is truly captivating, you are able to shut your eyes and picture the scene on the page as if you were truly standing there. As I've said if you are a fan of Lord Of The Rings then this series is something you should really consider reading!

I give this book five stars, wish I could give it more because it deserves so much more for the exuberance of it all.

FYI the end will have you saying this ;)
So happy reading!!!

Monday 24 June 2013

Palmistry, tarot card reading or crystal ball readings, most people are sceptical when it comes to theses. Many people fear them, they believe anyone who can channel the "other side" are communication with evil forces. They believe that being able to see the dead or predict the future is the work of the devil, that you are a witch weaving your evil spells over the unsuspecting crowd.

I'm not the type of person that easily dismisses the possibility that maybe they do have some accuracy with their "gifts". I'm not saying I believe everything they say, but some of it makes sense. This weekend a friend and I decided to be brave and get our fortunes told. I went in with an open mind but I was still a bit sceptical, I mean come on who isn't right?

The atmosphere was relaxing, the decor was very Moroccan/ East Indian, so it was a typical setting for a reading. My friend went first for hers while I sat patiently on the soft sofa waiting for my turn. Let me tell you I was a ball of nerves, my heart rate was frantic and I kept fidgeting,  I couldn't seem to sit still. When my friend finally came back out I looked at her and asked her how it went, she said not back but then again they lady was right behind her so not much she could say right hahha.

Entering the little hollow of curtains that was sealing me off from the rest of the place, I nervously sat in the chair and placed my hands in my lap so I could keep them from shaking. Looking at the pale long black haired lady in front of me I thought to myself , she has that air about her and her looks definitely match what I think of a fortune teller. Piercing me with her gaze she says to me to make three pills with the cards, ever so slowly I move my hands to divide the deck and place them on the table.

Picking up the different piles she began to places them on the table, while having this far off look to her. I just sat in total silence watching her, after she placed the last one, she ran her hands over them. My breath caught as I waiting for her to speak. Looking at me she began to tell me what she foretold. I sat there without moving the entire time, smiling or nodding when she looked at me. It was honestly scary how spot on she could be at times. Regardless if I believe everything she said, she had so many valid point. I guess hearing your owe fears and your demons thrown at you by a total stranger is sorta comforting.

In a lot of ways she gave me a sense of hope, I've been fighting so much shit lately that hearing that some of my biggest fears will turn out fine gives me a lot of hope and makes me want to really achieve it.  Like I told my friend, I've seen and experienced to much of the unknown to not believe in this sort of thing. I believe there are things our there that we can't explain, and honestly I don't think we are meant to understand everything. We are here to learn and grow and to have an open mind about all possibilities  no matter how far fetched they seem :)

Sweet Oblivion

.
Bailey Ardisone is a collaboration by two sisters born and raised outside of Chicago, Illinois. They took the last names of their two grandmothers and combined them together to form their pen name. They both married the love of their lives and spend their days submerged in books, movies, music, or art and love travelling. Fantasy books and movies have been a huge part of their lives and are obsessed with Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Sweet Oblivion is the first book they have written together and is the first novel of a series

Book blurb:

sweet adjective ˈswēt a : pleasing to the mind or feelings
obliv·i·on noun ə-ˈbli-vē-ən, ō-, ä- 1: the fact or condition of forgetting or having forgotten

Have you ever wanted to forget? Nariella Woodlinn has. Many times. Especially when her already frustrating life gets turned upside down by a mysterious boy who randomly shows up in her small town and she can’t seem to understand anything about him, despite how much she tries.
Nari hates everything about her life except for her best friend Rydan, but now that they’ve been separated during their senior year of high school, she has to learn to make new friends without him. When strange unexplainable phenomena start becoming an every day part of her life, Nari struggles to come to grips with reality. And with love.

Naminé has responsibilities. Duties. It is her obligation to fulfill all that is asked of her by their King. But when a glimmer of hope is introduced to her by a prisoner she tends to and it means life or death for her and her people, she does all that she can to turn that hope into reality and finally end the vicious war that has been ensuing since she was born. Even if that means keeping it secret from her King. Even if it means carrying out the biggest betrayal against the King ever seen during her time.

She has hope. She will fulfill her duty. She will not let her people down.

Some secrets are best kept in Oblivion.

This book is just WOW, it's hard to even put into words how FANTASTIC this book really is. This book is like nothing I have ever read. While I was reading I almost has a sense of the Lord Of The Rings undertone to it, which is purely amazing. I'm very glad I was able to enjoy this magnificent creation. The details and the magnetism that was put into this novel is breathtaking, you truly get a sense of being right there with the characters.

So many different emotions are in play throughout the pages, varying between, sadness, compassion, friendship, love, loyalty and fear. One of the main things I saw in this book is a sense of mystery, you were always kept arms length with some characters, but the authors did it in such an inventive way that it makes you want to keep reading. This book took me a bit longer to read then I had hoped, for the simple fact that I have been uber busy. This book is pure MAGIC, everything about it is wonderful. Her characters really touch your heart.

Nariella touched my heart the most I think. Everything she went through throughout this book pulled on my heartstrings. I can't count how many times I wanted to go into the book and hug her or try to help her. She's someone I could see my self being friends with if she was real.

Naminé is a mystery, you don't get to learn too much about her. But from what I read of her, I liked. I can't wait to read more about her and her land.

Rydan is one of a kind lol he's mysterious, caring, protective oh and did I mention hot? He can come off as uncaring or a bit stuck up, but when you get to know him more you can't help but love him. He was one of the characters that honestly intrigued me the most. I wanted to know more about it and was happy every time he stepped on to the page. He would definitely be one of those guys I would have fallen for. He's very talented in many areas, I won't tell you in what areas of course ;) you'll have to read the book to find out.

Mycah, oh man where to even begin with him*sigh*. When you first meet him he comes off a bit stalkerish and creepy but as you read on you get to see a different side to him. He's handsome with piercing blue eyes and rock star raven hair. He's very caring, dashing, proper and of course mysterious. There is a sense of danger with him but he's very kind and gentle to those that matter. He will melt your heart and turn it to mush within a few pages. I was smitten with him thanks to Twitter but I'm more in love with him now. He's one of those characters that will keep you guessing throughout the book. He's an odd ball, I think its mostly because he's British ;) of course that makes him ever more alluring and sexy heheh *faints*. He's also very cheeky, it's very entertaining.  More often then not I wanted him to tell Nari the truth.

Zaylie and Desmond, now these two made me laugh. Their bond reminds me so much of my brother and I. They argue like school children and its hilarious, I was very glad that Nari was able to make friends with them. Those are the type of friends that people look for all their lives.

Ray, ugh I couldn't stand that man. All I felt for him was pure rage, so many times I wanted to jump in that book and kill him myself. He's the devil in disguise, Bailey truly captured the essence of bad parenting with him.

If I could give this book a million stars I would in a heartbeat. It's beautiful, heartbreaking, magical, awe-inspiring. A perfect blend of a fantasy world mixed in with the real one. My favourite part of this story was the intensity, the mystery and the fact that there was two different stories that intertwined. I recommend everyone who love Lord Of The Rings or fantasy to read this. Bailey is a brilliant author and I cannot wait to read the second book!

This post is dedicated to two of my very favourite book boys, from the very fantastic book called Mythology by the ever talented Helen Boswell.

Micah Condie

*sigh*  what isn't there to love about Micah I mean its Micah :p. He's handsome, caring, sweet with a bit of a dark side to him ;) no pun intended. He's tall, blue eyed with tousled blond hair, he drives a motorcycle (yum factor right there) and something else that is divine about this beautiful soul is the fact that he can fly :O wicked right!! I mean who doesn't want a guy who is sexy as hell and can fly, can save you money on gas hahah. Not only is he pretty alluring on the pages but he's very entertaining on twitter. He's such a sweetheart on there you cant help but love him :), I think I'm the only girl who hasn't fallen madly in love with him thanks to his charms :p He's a good sport about it though :) he has a big enough fan base without me, after all it be weird if his BFF liked him that way :p

Jonathan Draper

*swoons and faints* Oh Jonathan *sigh* there are no words to even express how wonderful I think he is. The phrase tall dark and handsome completely suits him. He's slightly shorter then Micah but not by much. He has jet black hair with brown eyes that do this very weird flame dance when he's using his gift on you. He's very regal and old fashion which is one of the things I love most about him not to mention he's French ;) (yummy). His sense of humour is just epic lol you can truly tell he's otherworldly because of it. He's young in body but old and wise in mind. He's very proper with the way he addresses people and with the way he dresses, which is typically a suite and tie that is normally black. He's a wonderful soul but keeps mostly to him self, we don't get to discover much about him in book one. He has this magnetism I find that draws you to him, It could be do to the fact you know he's a mystery, that you wish to unravel or because he's good but with this darkness that surrounds him which intrigues you (good guy/bad guy complex lol ). I think the biggest reason I love him so much is because he is such a mystery and honestly when he first appeared on the pages I was already drawn to him and wanted to know who and what he was.

If you haven't already read Mythology by Helen Boswell then I suggest that you get on it!! Fall in love with these two and discover what team you are on...Team Micah or Team Jonathan..That is the biggest question of all!

Choices

Choices by Sydney Lane
Published 2013
Release date summer 2013

Fate brought her here, but will her choices destroy her dreams?

Quincy Priest made all the right choices in her small town, black-and-white life. But being perfect is tiring. So. Very. Tiring.

Wanting desperately to step out of her sister's shadow, Quincy jumps at the opportunity to attend college with her best friend. The quiet bookworm with family secrets comes out of her shell. But when Quincy meets not one, but two perfect guys, she has to make a choice. In doing so, she might forfeit the relationship she secretly longed to find.

Declan. Sweet, handsome, and perfect. He makes her feel cherished for the first time in her life.

Brody. Sexy, hot, and irresistible. He could tear down her carefully built walls.

Before she can become the woman she wants to be, Quincy will make mistakes. And suffer one unimaginable loss

I just have to say that I am very thankful that I was given the opportunity to read this story before it was released :). For her first book it's amazing :) Trust me you don't want to miss out on this, or you may regret it later.

This story is one of those books that you can relate too in so many ways. Everyone of us faces our own demons, we all feel guilt, love, passion, friendship, heartache and lust. Sydney really hits the make on all the previously stated emotions. Her characters truly speak to you and make you see that life is worth every moment and you should live life to the fullest because you never know what may happen.

This book made me want to pull my hair out, had me sitting on the edge of my seat and it also pulled at my heartstrings. I went through so many emotions while reading this book, not only that but I went with little sleep for a few nights because I just couldn't put it down. She really hooks you and sucks you in with the prologue alone...after reading it you will go crazy with  wanting to know what brought it about.

Not only is the concept of the story really good and well written but her characters are very real, their life and their experiences are everyday things regardless if they happened to you or not. I really liked Quincy, Jenna, Brody and Declan. We all have that one friend who is logical but brightens our day no matter what mood we are in and that's what Jenna is. As for Declan we all know that one guy who is so sweet and adorable and who is always there for you. Brody *faints* ugh I so loved him *dreamy sigh* he's your typical bad boy who has a good side to him. And last but not least Quincy the main attraction of the story. She like most of us girl, insecure, shy but very sweet. I loved her, she was one of the characters I felt closest to. I've felt most of what she's felt, I've been to the point where I've felt very guilty over the past but I mean who hasn't right? I don't typically like the main female lead but I genuinely liked her :) she didn't annoy me lol.

Over all I loved this book and would recommend this to everyone I know. I give it 5 star on originality, creativity and just the over all experience of the story line. I think all of Sydney's hard work really shows in this piece of art that she created. I can not wait to read more of her work!
It's a must read for everyone, it's a great read, just pure brilliance. I wanted to get to the end so bad but now that its over it's bittersweet, I can only imagine what Sydney feels :p I would be ok with a second book to this one hahah.

Twisted Perfection (Perfection, #1) Twisted Perfection is the first instalment in the Perfection series by the oh so very talented Abbi Glines.

Book description:

Life outside of her house was a new experience for Della Sloane. The dark secrets of her past weren’t something she ever intended to share with anyone. They would never understand. No one would ever get close enough to find out. There was always a chance she’d go crazy sooner than they expected…

Woods Kerrington had never been one to be attracted to fragile females. They seemed like too much work. He wasn’t in it for the work just the pleasure. A night full of naughty fun had been exactly what was on his mind when he’d laid eyes on the hot little number that didn’t know how to pump gas and needed some help.

What he didn’t know was she was as fragile as they came.
The carefree girl who spoke her mind and didn’t care what the world thought of her was more breakable than he could ever imagine…

              * WARNING MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS YOU        HAVE  BEEN WARNED*

*Fans my self* wow just wow this book is WAY HOT. I know her books are meant to be spicy and mouth watering but DAMN *drools*. I haven't fallen head over heels over one of her books since Fallen Too Far. Don't get me wrong I love all of her books but man this one just sucked me in big time...This book totally pulled me out of my book funk that I was in, I couldn't put it down for one second. *yawn* ended up staying up way too late to read because that's how enticing and delicious it was.

I won't lie but most books I read I can't stand the main female lead because they usually drive me crazy with their need to whine but this book had a very pleasant surprise :). Della Sloane was a breath of fresh air when it comes to female characters. She had a tough up bringing but she never let that bring her down which is admirable, most people if they had gone through all that hardships they would have fallen apart and lost it. When we first encounter her she's shy and very unsure of what she wants to do or how to act around other people. As the story progresses though we discover more about her dark past and why she is the way she is. Her growth throughout the book is touching, she fights her demons but doesn't get deterred and I think the may reason for that is thanks to her man :). I believe she will be able to fight off her demons :) I have faith in her.

Now as for Woods well if you are a fan of Fallen Too Far then you will have already encountered him if not then be prepared to listen to me gush about him *faints*. Since I've already had the pleasure of getting to know him a little in the previously stated book I already liked him. I mean come on who wouldn't he's tall, chiseled features, gorgeous body, sexy voice, dark eyes and not to mention he's super sweet and protective of the people he cares about. He's a very driven person whom works very hard for what he believes is right for him in life. Little did he know though that his life would forever change the day a shy innocent girl asked him to help her to pump gas(so adorable).I loved his cave man side when it came to the possessiveness of what was his (Della). I also really loved the sensitive side to him it was so touching.

Lets just say their first encounter with each other is very memorable ;) for the both of them. If you aren't used to reading books that are very descriptive when it comes to sexual events then be warned because this one has a lot of it and I mean A LOT. But besides all the mind blowing sex these two have it was really nice to see the characters change and grow together it was very heartwarming.

I honestly think Abbi truly out did her self with this book. It was perfection even if it had very dark and twisted aspect to it ;) yes I know what I just did there :p. I give this book two thumbs up and 20 stars ;) not possible I know *sigh* but if it was I would be giving it 20 stars. I used to like Woods I thought he was a decent guy but now I love him he's so amazing. I think he grew the most throughout the book. He learnt to let things go, he learnt to love and he discovered what was really important in life. I truly hope those two can face everything that will come at them in the second book.

Never Too Far (Too Far, #2)

Never Too Far is the second instalment in the Too Far series by the brilliant author Abbi Glines

Book description:

He had held a secret that destroyed her world.

Everything she had known was no longer true.

Blaire couldn’t stop loving him but she knew she could never forgive him.
Now, she was back home and learning to live again. Moving on with life… until something happened to send her world spinning once again.
What do you do when the one person you can never trust again is the one that you need to trust so desperately?

You lie, hide, avoid, and pray that your sins never find you out.

*sigh* This book will definitely satisfy your Rush Crush. You really get to see the soft vulnerable side of him for once and it just amps up his hot factor 10x over. So many times throughout this book I wanted to jump in there and hug the crap out of him. I have no idea what more he could have done to show Blaire he really loved her. I mean come on he was half a man when she left him..Mopey Rush was just heartbreaking.

Now as for Blaire ugh *pulls out hair* I actually didn't mind her in the first book but MY DEAR GOD she annoyed the crap out of me in this one. I wanted to jump into the book and shake her and tell her to grab a dang brain. Her pity party was getting on my last nerve, I understood why she had trust issues I don't fault her on that one bit but I mean he was trying everything possible to show her that he was there for her but it was never good enough for her *shakes head*

I'm not saying I didn't enjoy this book, because in all honesty I really did, just aspects of it annoyed me. It was an emotional ride that's for sure, it was definitely nice to see the different views from each character. I really enjoyed Rush's POV throughout the book but I didn't really care for Blaire's. To be honest I liked Fallen Too Far more just for the simple fact that it didn't frustrate me as much. Although on that note there where many more parts I truly loved about this one.

This book had many sweet and tender moments that will make your heart melt and might even make you cry a little.

Stay tuned for Book 3 of the Too Far series :) also you can follow Abbi , Rush and Blaire on twitter

Monday 15 April 2013
I know this may sound really stupid and crazy to some people but I really don't care. Ever since I started reading books I've had a deeper appreciation for the authors and all the hard work that's put into making such great novels. Only recently have I truly discovered what authors really go through and there is no way I could ever do it :/ they are brave I swear. Being attacked because someone doesn't like your book and having to rewrite and do things that you know people will cry because its heart wrenching. There is no way I could kill off or say goodbye to a character that I spent so much time on. I get to attached to books and characters as it is so no way could I handle that lol. But enough about this , my whole purpose for this post is to thank some of the most amazing authors friends I have made :)

Dear Elise,

You are by far one of the funniest/perverted person I know lol but I love ever second of it. On top of that you are strong willed, open minded, determined and a bad ass with a caring heart! You are always there for the people you care about even if they are only tweeter peeps like Jazzy and I. I'm very lucky to know you and have you as a friend. I am also very luck to have had the opportunity to read your books( I will read two soon promise) they are fantastic. You have a bucket load of talent :). You are amazing and everyone is a little bit better just for having the privilege to know you!

Dear Helen,

You are so sweet and modest it's crazy( so going to have to change that one soon). You have so much talent its scary. You were the first author that I really ever got to talk to and right away I felt like I could tell you anything because of the person you are. You are bright, caring, spunky at times lol. You care deeply about people and that's a wonderful gift to have because not many people care about others anymore. I completely fell in love with your book and I'm dying to read number two but you already know that lol. You are a wonderful person inside and out no matter what anyone says. You have this inner strength about you that you may not even notice.

You ladies are the most epic people I know and I'm very lucky to know both of you. My life has been made better because of it that's for sure :). I think any book nerd would be happy to have friends who are authors, it's a dream come true for us :) Keep on rocking you two love you both xoxo <3

P.S
Your characters are awesome and crazy, in the book and on twitter haha

Die for Her (Revenants #2.5) by Amy Plum

Book description:

Set in the romantic and death-defying world of the international bestselling Die for Me trilogy, this digital original novella follows Jules, a brooding, immortal French artist who has fallen in love with his best friend’s girlfriend.

Jules Marchenoir is a revenant-an undead being whose fate forces him to sacrifice himself over and over again to save human lives. He’s spent the better part of the last century flirting his way through Paris, but when he met Kate Mercier, the heroine from Amy Plum’s Die for Me trilogy, he knew his afterlife had changed forever and he had found the love of his life. Until Kate fell for his best friend, Vincent. Now Jules is faced with an impossible decision: choosing between his loyal friend and a love truly worth dying for.

If you have not read her other books in this series you really need to get off you but and go to the book store and buy it!! RIGHT NOW!! * chases you to the book store :p*
These books are one of the most AMAZING books that I have read in a while, my god it just sucks you in so deep that even after you stop reading you still feel like you are trapped in the book.

I have been in love her lovely French boys since the first page, but I think I have fallen for them even harder now *Fans my self*. Vincent has always been my favourite, I mean he captured my heart right off the hop but I think my second favourite has jumped on the band waggon and stolen it from him.

Oh my Jules *sigh* I didn't think that he could make me swoon anymore but he has proven me wrong. Not a complete shocker that's for damn sure, I mean its JULES that in its self is an explanation hahah .What isn't there that's good about him *counts on fingers* 1 he's witty and a little bit pervy, 2 he's an artist, 3 he's gorgeous, 4 he's French, 5 he's secretly sensitive and last but not least he has a heart of gold. He would do anything thing for the ones he cares for even sacrifice himself and his feelings. Who in this world wouldn't want a man or a friend that had that much devotion, I know I sure would love that.

Amy has indeed out done her self with this novella, it gives us great insight into another character that people love, another point of view to the hole series which is just brilliant. Die For Her is the perfect treat for the anticipation for the next and final book in the series If I Should Die coming out May 7th. I must give this book 5 out of 5 for it's delectable perfection into the world of the brooding French revenant Jules. This store made me laugh and cry all at the same time, I can not recall how many times I wished to go into the book and hug Jules. I felt bad for him on numerous occasions. Not only did I feel terrible for him but every time I read Vincent's name, tears would spring to my eyes!!WHY OH WHY AMY MUST YOU TORTURE US SO!!  I swear I had a book hangover after I was finished with it haha.

She has yet again left us wondering what will happen to Kate, Vincent and Jules!!
Is Vincent truly lost forever or is there a way to save him?
Will Kate ever find out how Jules really feels about her?
What will happen to Jules now once all hell breaks lose?

I can not wait to read the next book and find out what shall happen to my favourite book characters.
This was truly a compelling story of forbidden love and true test to friendship and loyalty.

Vendetta is the first instalment in the Amaranthine Blood series by Elise Valente.

Book description:

“The odd scent she’d picked up earlier, combined with this girl’s unnatural speed, suddenly clicked in her mind. Rage flooded her when she realized what it meant.

They've turned her, she thought as she followed the girl into the woods. They turned a child and set her loose to hunt her. Sick.”

When the immortals have an eternity, the games they play become more macabre. It’s Sanaan’s job, and personal mission, to see the game’s masters annihilated. After all, they are the same people who destroyed her life and all her hopes for the future, creating a monster with an obsessive need for revenge.

Vendetta is the first book in Amaranthine Blood series—the tale of a vampire whose only desire is to annihilate the Xul, once and for all. Sanaan thinks she’s got it under control, until the arrival of a stranger finds her precariously balancing on a knife’s edge between change and a descent into darkness. And there’s more going on in the fight than she ever knew—things that could change the course of the world’s fate forever.

When my friend told me about this book I was a bit skeptical, not because I didn't think it wouldn't be good but because I've been staying away from vampire novels. I had read to many of them when I was in my Twilight faze :/. Honestly now I'm very very glad that I gave the book a chance, if I hadn't I would have been really missing out.

Vendetta was definitely different from any other vampire book I have read. As I have previously stated I have read a lot of them! While I read this book I thought it had the Underworld, Moonlight vibe going on, for those of you who have no idea what Moonlight is, its a vampire show that used to play on t.v, it was epic!!. Anyways back to the topic at hand, this book was beautifully written, it was both intriguing, sorrowful and vengefully delightful. Her characters have a way of sneaking into your heart and messing with your emotions. You can not help your self but to love all of her characters, well minus the bad guys, you will automatically hate them!!

You will be so bloodthirsty after reading the first book that you will rush to buy the second one if you haven't already. You will have a craving to know what will take place in the second novel, how the bond between certain characters will forge more depth and how the battle between good and evil will end. Honestly its been a while since  I've actually liked a female vampire in any series who's as spirited as Sanaan. She is so unbelievably epic and so kick ass!! Her mood swings entertains the crap out of me, I laughed so much. I really loved her snarky comments she would make, she is quite the handful that one, but love her never the less.

One of the other iconic characters that you will love or will swoon over is Damon, he's so...I don't even know if there are words to explain how Fangtastic he truly is. There are no words in the universe to explain he's kindness, or his sweetness or his uber sexiness!! You will just melt into a puddle thanks to him hahah.

I give Elise's book five stars, for a world wind of epic vampness!!Don't miss out on this book really read it!!! Look for her second book Insurrection and on that note keep a watch out for the third instalment coming out this year either by the end of March or early April.
